This has got to be one of the more interesting things I’ve seen in a while. An old man in a nursing home who is usually barely responsive and unable to properly answer simple questions is able to break free of all of this just after listening to some music he enjoyed when he was younger. It would be one thing if he just reacted to the music, but the fact that he is still in that more alert state after the music is taken away really says a lot about the brain and what triggers memory.
