I would be very surprised if all our cooking surfaces weren’t more similar to this in 20 years. It isn’t necessarily all the extra space that intrigues me, just the customizability of it. You can put an item exactly where it needs to go without worrying about how even it’s going to get cooked. This is one of the best examples I’ve seen of appliances getting smarter.
