Perpetual motion is very fascinating, and I’m not surprised that using magnets is one way to achieve it. I would love to be able to mess around with one of these. I wonder if it keeps accelerating and if you leave it going long enough it will be too much for whatever is holding it together to handle. Or if you could get it started and it would still be whirring along when you wake up. I guess that’s what it means for something to have perpetual motion, I just wonder if the acceleration has a limit it approaches or what. Very cool nonetheless.
