Apparently ever several years there are a pair of opportunities to see Venus pass in front of the Sun from our view. These pairs are eight years apart and the distance between these pairs is quite larger. It seems strange to have such an uneven schedule of Venus sightings but there’s actually a perfectly valid explanation within this video.
